David graduated from Louisiana Tech University in 1987 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing. He began his insurance career in 1988 with State Farm Insurance in Dallas, Texas, as an Automobile Claims Adjuster specializing in property and injury claims. David also worked on the National Catastrophe team working hurricane claims, hail claims, and other disasters. David is I-CAR certified. In 1998, after 10 years in claims, David left operations and the state of Texas, and moved “home” to pursue a career as an Independent Insurance Agent. In 2002, David joined Troy & Montgomery Insurance Agency as a Commercial Lines Producer, a position he continues to hold today with Community Financial Insurance Center.
David is active in youth sports serving both as a coach and board member for the Dixie Youth Baseball of West Monroe program and the West Ouachita Youth Sports Association. He has served on several church committees and various leadership roles in multiple community organizations. David has volunteered his services being the master of ceremonies to many youth and high school sports events. For the past 11 years David has volunteered to be the “voice” of West Monroe High School Baseball as he has brought “Show Time” to Shelby Aulds field where he is WMHS Baseball’s public address announcer.
