David graduated from Louisiana Tech University in 1987 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing. He began his insurance career in 1988 with State Farm Insurance in Dallas, Texas, as an Automobile Claims Adjuster specializing in property and injury claims. David also worked on the National Catastrophe team working hurricane claims, hail claims, and other disasters. David is I-CAR certified. In 1998, after 10 years in claims, David left operations and the state of Texas, and moved “home” to pursue a career as an Independent Insurance Agent. In 2002, David joined Troy & Montgomery Insurance Agency as a Commercial Lines Producer, a position he continues to hold today with Community Financial Insurance Center.
David is active in the Dixie Youth Baseball program, has coached youth sports, served on various church committees, and several civic organization boards. He is married to Kellye, a kindergarten teacher, and has two sons, Jay and Will.
